Über uns
CMS Berlin is the firm’s German head office. Located within walking distance of the country’s political centre and policy makers, our 60-odd lawyers advise on all aspects of business law. The office enjoys views across Tiergarten park and is convenient for the German Bundestag (Reichstag), Unter den Linden/Friedrichstraße and Potsdamer Platz. The Berlin office was established in 1990 and advises large corporations, medium-sized companies and corporate groups, private equity and venture capital investors as well as start-ups and banks in the context of national and international instructions. We also work for the federal government and regional administrations on a wide range of matters. Areas covered in Berlin include Labor and Employment Law, Corporate Law and M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Real Estate Law, Public and Private Planning and Construction Law, Tax, Dispute Resolution/Litigation, Insolvency, Commercial/Contract Law, Compliance, Banking & Finance, and TMC – Technology, Media & Communications.
In one of the most dynamic business locations in Germany, we support innovative projects, in particular in the technology sector with a focus on e-health, mobility and entertainment, but also in the hotel industry. Our contacts in politics, public administration and trade associations enable us to combine this with strategic public affairs advice.
Our three notaries offer all common notarial services, with a focus on real estate law and Corporate/M&A. They also routinely assist with high-volume transactions.
With partners and lawyers providing legal advice in Spanish, French and Polish as well as English, we offer intercultural legal and tax advice on projects linked to any of these language zones.
Also in Berlin and closely linked to our site is our innovation hub at the EUREF Campus in Schöneberg, just three S-Bahn stops from our site. Here you will find, on the one hand, the Legal Tech team, which has built up a strong reputation with its own products over many years. It also oversees the development and deployment of the firm's artificial intelligence, driving the overall digitisation of our legal services. It is also home to the Smart Operations Team, a group of specially trained business lawyers who support the legal teams with a range of critical standard tasks, such as due diligence and project management. This enables CMS to deliver a highly efficient service.
