Position

Bernhard Burkert advises on all matters pertaining to public real estate and building law, in particular, construction planning law and building regulations. The range of his advisory services additionally includes all relevant ancillary areas, such as building-related immission-control law and monument protection, road and environmental law issues. The focus of his services is on providing assistance with complex land development plan procedures, the approval of building projects, and representation in administrative court proceedings. Furthermore, Bernhard Burkert advises on real-estate transactions in the context of public-law due diligence reviews.

Karriere

Bernhard Burkert studied law at the University of Potsdam (Germany) from 2001 to 2006 and then carried out his legal training, which included working for renowned business law firms. Upon completion of his legal training, he went on to obtain a Master of Laws degree (LL.M. International Trade Law) from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. From 2010 to 2012, Bernhard Burkert worked for Luther as a research assistant. He has been providing real estate law advice as a lawyer since 2012 and is a member of Luther’s practice group “Environment and planning law, regulatory”. Bernhard Burkert is a lecturer in public construction law at the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
