Marc Kraushaar holds a PhD in physics, and is a qualified German and European Patent Attorney fully qualified to represent clients before the future Unified Patent Court.

Marc's patent work at Zimmermann & Partner focuses on semiconductor manufacturing, electron microscopy, and optical sensors.  He advises and represents leading companies in national and international prosecution matters, wherein he handles large patent portfolios. He represents clients in examination, opposition and appeal proceedings regarding patent and utility model matters before the German and European patent offices, and before the German Federal Patent Court. Due to his experience, Marc has been court-appointed as an expert witness. Further to his patent work, Marc is also an expert in trademark and design matters (both national and international). Besides working in Germany for Zimmermann & Partner, Marc also worked for a top ranked US law firm.

Ausbildung

Marc studied physics at the Technical University Karlsruhe (now part of KIT). He graduated in physics and received his PhD in natural sciences working in the field of laser optics at the RWTH Aachen.
