The focus of Alexander Hübner’s legal work is on public commercial law, especially on advising clients on German and EU public procurement law in the fields of IT, health, energy, raw materials, local public transport and culture and on EU state aid law. He also specializes in counselling on national and EU-wide distribution systems, in particular on EU antitrust distribution law and on the indemnification of sales intermediaries when they terminate their activity.

His working languages are German, English and French.

He is currently the spokesman of the Baden-Württemberg chapter of the public procurement association “forum vergabe e.V.” and regularly holds lectures at conferences on public procurement and state aid law in Germany and abroad. From 2012 to 2018, he was the German member of the EU Commission's stakeholder group of experts on public procurement SEGPP.

Alexander Hübner studied at the University of Kiel, where he also obtained his doctorate (Dr. jur.), and he continued his legal training in Kiel, Paris, Heidelberg, Hamburg and Luxembourg.
